A protect area since 1935, Portofino is today one of the parks of Liguria best known in the world, along with the one of Cinque Terre. It spreads on the promontory from which the name comes and it is called "il Monte" by the inhabitants of the place as if they wanted to make it unique.

The Park of Portofino spread between Camogli, Portofino e Santa Margherita Ligure and reaches over 4.000 hectares of protected land. It is an area of great naturalistic interest owing to its chestnut and ilexes woods plus its reach Mediterranean bush, it represent the ideal destination for the lovers of trekking, nature and silence. With its breathtaking panoramas and glimses of sea and mountains it is an important touristic destination for more and more people.
